What an exciting day. I was out early as usual to attend various Volunteer Meetings. I found myself at Westfield Shopping Mall in White City/Shepherds Bush, London. As I was walking towards my point of interest, I saw flashing lights and a lovely scenario. It was a Pop Up Store and it belong to one of the Giant Mobile Phone Handsets. Well, it was too tempting to not go inside and go inside I did. I was given a true RED Carpet treatment. I was truly wowed with what I say inside. I was shown round and all that was happening was explained to me. You could design the cover of your handset. There was a beautiful lounge where they have various workshops. There was a Grab & Go Zone, plus a Insta-Treats Zone. A Galazy Studio zone and there was a zone where you had your photos downloaded for you. In short there was a lot going on, promoting their latest handsets. I was mesmerized by what I saw and came away truly impressed. Unfortunately, as it is a Pop UP Store, it will be moving on in a few days time. As a lover of photographs, I did not miss the opportunity of taking lots of photos. I am sharing them with you.



I finally had photos taken of myself. I can never resist that as I love photos. Photos always remind me of what activities I was engaged in when I take them. Very handy for later when I can't gallivant anymore.

Today, I behaved like a tourist to London. And you know what, I enjoyed myself. I went to Piccadilly Circus and walked to the LEGO STORE at Leicester Square. That was my destination as I wanted to buy a gift for a very dear friend’s grandson’s birthday. I love giving my own grandchildren and great-grandchild LEGO as I am fascinated by LEGO BRICKS. I have a Classic 4-99 years old box of LEGO Bricks. I build various items when I am bored and when I do not want to do anymore crosswords or Word Search. Building LEGO challenges the brain as well as crosswords or word search. On my way to the LEGO STORE, I stopped just as I got to Swiss Court and asked a passer-by to please take a photo of me. After that, as I was now opposite the M & M Store, I had another photo taken of me standing right in front. I then had my photo taken of me in front of the LEGO store. GallivantingOAP@the 2019 London Marathon

I am hoping to keep this Blog going daily, almost daily or a few times a week. I am out and on th ego daily but I just may not be able to keep it up daily. I live in Central London, and I do tend to gallivant around this great, lovely, historical and wonderful City of London. I belong to several charities and organisations and volunteer a lot in various ways. I am retired, a widow and in my 70s. I have 6 adult grown up children, all married, left home, scattered around the world, plus several grandchildren and a great grandchild for now. No more grandchildren as they have all been born. I am fondly called Mamina by many, including some of my children, their spouses and even some of the grandchildren. My other grandchildren call me Nana.
